The excitement as an international student in Germany
Germany is one of the most beautiful and amazingly-developed countries of the world. Many students are dreaming to finish their study in this country as well as experience the many good opportunities and developments the country can offer. There are many amazing developments in Germany which is very interesting for more students and tourists. If it is not a nice country to stay, it would not have attracted many immigrants from Eastern Europe and many countries in Asia. The country is home for over 300 colleges and universities. These colleges are called Hochschulen. It has 1.9 million students. Further news has it that there are also approximately 200,000 new students that join many schools in Germany every year. There are many changes which took place in the history of education in the country. This is the so-called radical changes in the modernization of the Germany education. In the last few decades in the country, there were many changes in education that occurred. In fact, three decades ago there were only 15 percent of the students that gained their diploma which they called Abitur. This eventually leads to the creation of German College and those who gained diplomas already reached to 45 percent. At present, there are still changes in education in the country like instating free college education including the plans of automatic acceptance to college or university. These things are still under scrutiny and review by the top lawmakers of the country. Though many colleges and universities in Germany are facing budget cuts the government is doing its part and looks for new ways to boost revenue again. Country leaders hoped that the changes in education especially in the traditional ways the school is being run could help bolster revenue. There are reports that almost all of the European countries are already charging students tuition fees. Among the main reasons why there are many changes in Germany education system nowadays is that Austria, Germany, and other countries in the Scandinavian give free education to university students.
Before Germany became Europe’s biggest when it incomes to economic conditions, the country struggled from two world wars having the nation occupied by the allied forces of the USA, France, Soviet Union and UK. After the devastating effect of the two world wars the country was divided into western federal republic of Germany and eastern German democratic Republic.
